Evans Essel, born on the 28th of August, 2002, in Yabiw, a small town in the Ahanta West district of the Western Region of Ghana, was raised in an environment where music, culture, and community were integral to daily life. Yabiw, though not located on the coast, had its own vibrant energy that influenced Evans’ early passion for music and entertainment. Surrounded by the rich traditions of his community, Evans developed an early fascination with the arts, particularly music. He would often play drums during church services, although he wasn’t a professional drummer, he loved how the rhythm resonated with the congregation, fueling his love for sound and performance. Evans attended Mpohor Senior High School, where he studied General Arts.
It was here that his interest in media and communication grew stronger. He discovered blogging and saw it as an outlet to combine his love for writing and his passion for entertainment. This led him to start Taadi Celebrity Blogger, a platform dedicated to covering the latest celebrity news, music, and entertainment stories from Takoradi and beyond. His blog quickly gained traction as Evans provided insightful, engaging content that resonated with young readers eager to stay updated on the latest trends and events in the entertainment world. The blog’s success made Evans a notable figure in Takoradi’s growing digital space. As Taadi Celebrity Blogger grew in popularity, Evans felt that the name no longer captured the full scope of his ambitions. He was no longer just covering celebrity gossip but had expanded his focus to include interviews, music industry updates, and behind-the-scenes content that highlighted emerging local talent. After much thought, he decided to rebrand his blog to McEvans Buzz. The new name reflected his personal journey and the growing buzz around the entertainment scene in Takoradi. With McEvans Buzz, Evans could build on his blog’s initial success while positioning it as a more dynamic platform for entertainment news and analysis.

Alongside his duties as a blogger and publicist, Evans is also the CEO of MEB LIVE NEWS, an emerging news platform that covers everything from entertainment to lifestyle and current affairs. As the head of MEB LIVE NEWS, Evans oversees a growing team of writers and content creators who are dedicated to delivering up-to-date and engaging news to their audience.
